Failing with Style

Failure is a part of any business. This process of learning and developing is a part of growing up. As a kid, chances are you gained a lot of scraped knees and bee stings. Maybe even a broken bone or two. It’s normal!Same goes for your business. Right now, your business is a little kid bumping around, learning about the real world. Very little of what you’re going to work at and produce is going to be successful. It sucks, but it’s just the entrepreneurial life. How else is a snow cone shop going to learn that their unique vegetable flavors aren't going to sale?Hopefully your business is better than that. But the point is that there's no way to know what is or is not going to work without trying. And without failing. The trick to a successful business is to embrace the failure. You can look at mistakes in one of two ways:

  1. Get embarrassed, freak out, take things slowly to prevent future failures
  2. Accept it, learn from it, continue moving forward

What you do as a business is, well, up to you. There will be times when you will want to cry and give up. Success doesn't come easy! For what it’s worth, we recommend sticking it out with the second option.
